Inspired by the downbeat house grooves of artists like Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kenny Dixon and Mark E as well as classic sounds of rollerskate discos gone by. The result was a 3-deck, low-slung, groove oriented beatdown that got the fires burning at March’s Freakeasy event.

Striz – Live at Resonate 5
The burning man community came out in full force this past saturday April 24th. Over 1000 people descended on the Congress theater in Chicago for a raging party done chi town burner style. Striz lit up the main room with a blistering set of funky ill house. We have it here for you!

We originally became aware of his work from a series of EPs on Brooklyn Based Bastard Jazz Recordings.
